Who We Are

Breaking Bread Kitchen started in the early 90's with a bread truck and a man with a vision.

Robert Dorn wanted to feed
the hungry and felt called to the hard working men in the oil field.

He bought an old bread truck, painted it like a cow and Church on Wheels was born. As his ministry grew several men in the community noticed and wanted to help. They rented a space in a church and began a nightly meal.

Get Involved

The Abel Hanger foundation noticed the nightly soup kitchen and wanted to see it become a permanent fixture in Midland. With seed money from the foundation the location on Florida Ave was purchased and remodeled. Breaking Bread Kitchen finally had a permanent home.
